Hessa Amin is the Academic Affairs Manager at FAWSEC Educational Company. Ms. Amin oversees curriculum, professional development and instructional technologies for the group’s schools. She completed her Master of Education in International Education Policy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and her BA in Accounting and Finance at the University of Washington, Seattle. At Harvard, Hessa focused on educational reform mechanisms as they apply to Kuwait by studying international educational reform case studies and analyzing different reform policies by examining their underlying assumptions and background research. Prior to that, Hessa developed internal controls for clients at Ernst & Young and developed investment strategies for emerging markets for a Kuwait based fund. Ms. Amin has held several different roles within the organization. She was a student at Al-Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) from kindergarten to grade 12, a BBS Board member for 2 years, and an administrator affiliated with FAWSEC for the past 3 years. In her latest role, she has been active on several initiatives. She is part of the character education committee, the transparency and communication committee, helped initiate the parent teacher association at BBS, and worked on the enhancement of curriculum documents as part of the curriculum team.
